Plans needed for large wooden boat

Postby thatsnotafestool » Sun Sep 30, 2007 5:20 pm

My mate needs some plans for a very, very large boat. It needs to have only double berths. Lots and lots of them. The last one he built, the boatbuilder squeezed in one single berth as an afterthought and we all know what happened to the dodo.

Can anyone suggest a good source? Must look good stuck on top of a mountain.

I'd move up here if I were you, we are 1000ft above sea level. The Derwent valley will make a lovely fiord when Greenland finally collapses. Be nice to have fresh fish on the door step!

cheers

I'd second Paul failing that there is always classic boat - it is a UK boat mag. I have a few plans from my boat building days, iirc they are all for small sail/row boats.
What type of boat do you want to build as this would narrow down the advice- easy home builds are Maurice Griffith boats.

Have fun - 'cause your going to have a few headaches doing this :-)
