I would suggest you need a crosscut blade with chip limiters (this restricts how much material each tooth takes during the cut and prevent ride up)

With a felder you will need a minimum of a chip extractor as the cutters will block up and seriously effect the timber finish. modern machines are designed to work with extraction as they throw all the spoil in the direction of a 100/125mm pipe

Try cleaning it off with some oxalic acid diluted with warm water, that should get rid of any black marks and revive the timber.

You then need to neutralise with water, let it dry and cut back the raised grain prior to finishing

An update too this. I appreciate there has been a delay in getting these swinging, the main reason being I spent the majority of the winter in Australia and if I had hung them prior to going I would not have been able to monitor any movement in the boards and take any remedial action as needed. I've used both PU and Titebond 3 on iroko worktops successfully.

One suggestion is to wipe the joints with thinners then let it evaporate prior to gluing, this should remove any oils contained in the timber which could affect the adhesives abilities
