Garlic butter

Postby jfc » Tue Oct 30, 2012 9:24 am

I'm probably the only person in the world that hasnt heard of this
Leave a pack of butter out for the day to go soft .
Smash up some garlic . I then blended mine .
Put both on some baking parchment and add a little salt and pepper .
Squish it all together and then twist the ends of the baking parchment so the butter and garlic mix into a sausage shape .
Pop it in the fridge and you can slice off a peice of garlic butter when ever you want .

whilst were on garlic butter ...

Garlic flat bread/toast ...

1.cook/toast bread.
2.Butter.
3.Cut a clove of garlic in half, and rub onto bread/toast

Only needs a little, very quick. goes well anywhere real garlic baguettes would... spag bol, chilli, pasta etc etc

You dont need to p*ss about with all that if you already have your home made garlic butter in the fridge ;)

You've cracked garlic butter then Jason!.
NB some recipes aren't that obvious e.g. 'Shepherds Pie' isn't a pie and doesn't contain shepherds. Just thought you should know.

Depends what you call garlic butter really . Mine is how i like it not some butter that was once shown a picture of some garlic
Its a good time of year to plant your own garlic by the way . Each clove will give you a new bulb .
