A question about marine ply

I have a 14' aluminium fishing boat and was thinking of taking the 'chill' out of it by using marine ply to cover the concave bottom.

Does anyone know the best bay of working out what thickness of wood would be required to support specific load weights?

I anticipate there being up to 4" of downward flexi on in the middle of the board but could put block supports in if necessary.

You could spray foam the bottom and board on top.
I'd use a couple of thinner sheets and laminate them, if it has to bend.

Don't want to foam the hull as I'm building an electric bilge pump for it, and there needs to be a gap underneath for the water to collect and channel aft toward the stern. I'm contemplating cutting out most of the centre seat leaveing an edge bit to make a bait locker, was going to get metal tread plate but if I end up Kipping on it at some point wood would be a big better. will stick a pic on now.

I'd probably use 12mm ply and then make a central spine for it that would sit on the ribs so that it sat level. If you want it to match the curve of the hull then you would have to laminate up several thin sheets of 4 mm ply which would be a PITA to do.
