Wanted Poplar,Tulip wood

Hi all, due to unintended enthusiastic cutting and planing aka a cockup I need some poplar to finish a project, about half a cubic foot of 1 inch inch would be plenty,this can be in parts ie 301 about 3ft longish it can be a sawn as I can plane thickness etc ,don't really want to pester a timber merchant for a small amount like this, probably could be in someone's left overs from another project,I am in the Medway towns,willing to pay fair price,thanks in advance ,
