Patching Holes in Plasterboard Ceiling

Need some advise on the above. We have a shitty little cornered off area in the bedroom that was named the "walk in wardrobe" by
the housing developers. Anyway, this got removed but I had to remove the coving which wasn't easy. I'm now left with a series
of large areas with big bits of plasterboard missing. None are actual holes, but still a bloody mess.

I'm not a dab hand at plastering so was wondering the best solution to patch this lot up? Some of the bits are around 10mm deep in
places.

I tend to ignore these things until my wife really gives me grief ..... that one would be a 5 year jobbie easy peasy.

Easyfill, Polyfill, EasyPeasy fill, there are dozens of them. Instructions on the packet.
Useful tip - when dry, chisel off the worst lumps and sand down with 40 grit, then do it all again.

My plasterer recommends dry lining adhesive - sands well. Then give it a 2nd going over.

Gyproc Easifil or Gyproc Joint filler work well - both are for dry lining but for the joints not adhesive. Best to buy in powdered form rather then ready mixed as then if there are deeper holes you can knock it up a bit thicker. The ceros with some 80g abranet is great for sanding it back.

Thanks guys. I have some cheap joint filler from wickes but I'll get some of this "easifil" and report back.

I would cut the plasterboard out. Put a piece of timber above the hole and cut new plasterboard to fit
then fill any gaps left. Easifill is only good for 3 to 4 mm depth

Works great when you drill down light holes in the wrong place
