need some advice re a sink fitting

Can anyone assist,

this sink was purchased some time ago in France and I now intend to fit it in a utility room

It is a very thick ceramic type material with what appears to be pop outs for left/right fitting tap fitting

to pop out the pop out do i just tap it with a hammer and if so from what side, and in anyones experience will it pop out clean

I have done two like this, drill a small hole in the centre of the plug from the top, then get a punch and work from the centre out again from the top.......be very careful and only take out what you need to get the tap in. I take no responsibility if you fcuk it up

+1 but it is a terrifying process.

I hate those and use a Tungsten Carbide Grit Holesaw.

I've only fitted one, when we were in Cameroon, and I managed to get a crack right the way across the bowl and ruin it - never again.
