Concrete/grass driveway.

Can anyone tell me how they do this. I was fitting on site the other day and I've attached an image of the driveway. It looks quite nice to be honest.

I have no idea how its done other than its done with screeding concrete over moulds on some mesh? It is concrete with grass crosses in it. If anyone knows how its done I'd be grateful and why is it done? To limit water run off?

Interest in how its done.

That's what I 1st thought Matty , but if you look at his image, it seems to be all one pouring, not individual blocks ?

Thanks guy's for the quick response.

They cant be individual blocks as there aren't any joints anywhere, this is what baffled me a bit, but it looks like 6 x 3 holes per section, some don't line up perfect.

I think I may have seen a video on youtube which must be the same system but i couldn't attach a link sorry, on the old strawberry! . It was Modi system on the video, very clever. I don't know is it the system used here on site.

Looks really nice! I have seen a lot of similar implementations like this and have quite a good mix of reactions from those who were on it. For one, it looks really nice and true enough, you could add a very cool design to what you are looking to have like this.

Though for others, there have been a number of complains how they would tend to break on certain parts that take out the beauty in the pattern. But all is well with consideration to those who were able to make them last.
