'Solvent Free' contact adhesive

I'm currently working on a kitchen where acrylic edging has to be glued onto the work tops. The info note just says that a non solvent glue needs to be used. Does any one have experience of using solvent free contact adhesive for this sort of work? Is there an alternative glue that can be used?
From experience, I generally don't rate solvent free alternatives, but I suppose sometimes there isn't much choice.

Never used it but evostik do a solvent free c.a, been around a while so i would think it must ne ok.

Creasote ? etc etc ..

it's all "substitute" these days

Hafele do both types, more confidence in solvent based stuff myself.

Water based paint ! ?

What ? Like Barrow and Fall ? Where, if you've previously used a vinyl based finish you have to sand the whole f*****g wall before using the b*stard waterbased so-called 'paint' from them otherwise it will rub off when you brush against it? DAMHIKT

F+B are generally renowned for being carp paint, I don't think the solvent versions are held in any higher regard than their waterbased stuff.

I opted for 'evo stik solvent free impact adhesive' in the end. The glue resembles a thick pva,which I brushed onto the worktop edging thinly. It took about an hour to dry though, given the cold weather. The initial bond was fairly good after a few taps with a rubber mallet, the excess was trimmed with a laminate trimmer. The main reason for my using 'solvent free' was the incompatibility of solvent glue with the acrylic worktop edging I was using.
Overall, it has its uses and advantages, but by choice,I certainly wouldn't use it over the solvent based contact adhesive.
