Replacing brass studs in antique dovetail saw

Postby ccbunney » Wed Dec 04, 2013 10:06 pm

Hi all,

I picked up an old dovetail saw that I am trying to refurbish
I have taken the blade off the handle to clean and straighten it. However, in the process of doing this, the small brass screw/studs that hold the saw blade to the handle have broken. They don't seem to be threaded, although there seems to be a threaded flat faced nut on one side - I guess it is just biting into the shaft of the brass pin...

Does anyone know where I can get new brass studs and flat nuts to replace them?

Cheers,
Chris
