Drill driver options

Having had enough of the chuck on my Makita 12v working loose and dropping whatever it's holding onto the bench, i've decided to buy a new drill.

Currently looking at either the Fein or the Festool. Fein looks to have a bit more power, but the Festool is black and green Plus it has the elbow adapter, though I can't say i've had need of one in the last god knows how many years....

Any thoughts?

I really like (both) of my festool cxs drills and use them all the time - usually one with a pozi bit in and the other with a pilot drill / countersink. The angle adapter, although not used all the time, is great for things like fixing cornice onto wall units if there isn't much clearance with the ceiling. I'm sure that the fein is an equally good drill but I've not used one - the only fein tool I've got is the multimaster.

Well in the end I went to Axminster, had a look at both, and decided against either.

I had seen a Stanley Fat Max 10.8v drill driver (very similar to the Makita/Bosch models) in Homebase - on offer at £45. So I bought 2 of these plus the impact driver for a total of £170 - 2 drills, 1 impact, 3 batteries and 3 chargers. 3 year guarantee.

Been using them this morning and can't fault them.

I to have the same problem with my makitta its really annoying the impact driver however is amazing only 10v but so much torqe
