Hi All

Had a few machines delivered today, all up and running, just need to have a good tidy up in the morning.......

Very pleased with the quality of Felder, I decided to purchase all machines from them as it makes sense to have one company to call regarding maintenance and repairs.

My favourite thing that has happened in the last few weeks is having my office refurbed and a mural put on the wall.

To be fair we don't do much spindle work, but when we do I'll let you know however it is a felder and is beautifully built. I Love the planer and the Saw is brilliant.

Hopefully we will be all straight by monday evening as we have another delivery happening tomorrow. As far as I am concerned I have now made all the investment I need into the company, so won't be making any more substantial ones, unless I upgrade the edgebander that is.

Ive slept pretty much under that bridge when i got the tides wrong . Got moved on at 4 am by the PLA and at about 6am i went for a wonder only for the boat to be boarded by armed police who found my mate Dave from Portsmouth fast asleep . It turns out Dave doesn't like being woken up with a gun in his face and i was supposed to have a radio to let Tower bridge know about my boat . Great day out for me though .

I'm a big Felder fan, just had an invite to a gig there at in Valencia, half of me wants to go, the other half is nervous of what I might buy if I do go.
I use the Felder Owner's Group forum for any technical hic ups, found them very helpful......

Seeing your photos has got me all excited again as I ordered it last year. I am sure it was the right decision but at the time it is always a little daunting parting with so much money.

The CNC was a game changer for us, it was so accurate fast and versatile, it made work very easy, so we took more and more on, but without breaking too much of a sweat over it!!

If you do a lot of CNC work, and you have a similar machine to what I had, I guarantee you that you will be amazed at the capability this one is. It cuts at 25m per minute 18mm in 1 pass, no tabs!!!

Its a 12mm PCD nesting tool, with a 22mm length of cut, on average these cost about 450 quid each from leitz, We have 2 of them one for use one for sharpening.

We have just bought an extraction collect, which is not too dissimilar to the Cruing Aerotech tool, this basically throws all the dust up into the flexi ducting, and this leaves absolutely no dust on the bed!! amazing really, as it would take an extra 3 or 4 minutes to vac the bed off ready for the next sheet. now are saving that time, which equates to about £7.50.

our one is very very old, and served us extremely well, but in the end it wasn't smooth, it was back cutting which we really struggled to fix, which makes me think it was a slightly bent spindle.

I cannot comment on the new ones, all I can say I wasn't impressed with their edgbanders.
