Hi, there's no place for an introduction on this forum, so i thought i would crash this one. I'm Brian a BT engineer from Melton Mowbray (sounds a bit like AA) Father of 3 Granddad of 1 and lover of many (I wish )
Only just started to get in to woodworking, and twhen i say only just, i picked up my very first lathe (a Record Power) that i won on fleebay, Sunday gone
Never even touched a lathe before.
So my background, not a lot of woodworking, brought a rundown house two years back, so Doors, skirting and fitted the kitchen, and thats my woodworking past.
My normal fads are

Motorbikes (just finished restoring my first one
Shooting (air gun)
Playing in my Garage

But saying that, i love learning new skills, so i have just turned my first thing, a lamp (much to my mrs dismay lol) but to be honest, with an entry level lathe, and the cheepist chisels (there around £12 on the bay for a full set )

I notice you like playing in the garage. Can I point you in the direction of one of the members selling a crotchless wetsuit, might be of some interest to you?? You will probably fit in well with the majority on here who seem to like wearing rubber.
