Thanks. Unusual job. We don't get many like this coming through the workshop. I've made some more serving boards in oak with slate inlays. Not sure what's wrong with plates but it's all work.

We made these too for Marco Pierre White. Really nice kiln dried English oak from Hoyle Hardwoods. If anyone needs any good Sycamore have a word with Dave Hoyle. He has some really good stock.

We're starting to get more and more enquires for stuff like this. Menu boards, platter boards etc. Once you've spade signed the jigs and best method for the CNC they fly out. However we did one job and we got one element wrong on the jig and it took 3 times as long as allowed for..........a mistake we won't be making again.

Mistakes with a cnc router are inevitable. That's why we're so expensive .

With socks in mind. I didn't mean to offend you. I just found the auto correct result funny.

Some of the samples made for the Hilton Hotel. The bottom one is oak. The top box is Sapele. The stuff in the middle is the Sycamore from Hoyle hardwoods. The one on the left has been treated with mineral oil, which gives a nice sheen but doesn't last long. The middle piece with the logo has been treated with Tung oil, which is why it looks a bit yellow. The one on the right is not treated. Great stuff to work with though.
